This collection uses the beeswax technique, a Japanese metal crafting technique. Former Tokyo University of the Arts professor Kohei Miyata first introduced the beeswax casting technique to jewelry, and Tomoyasu & Company, which has passed down the original method of making this precious ring, made the prototype for this piece. The shimmering difference in the height of the surface created by the strong pull is a gem that only beeswax can produce. Please note that the expression of the pulls may be different for each size ring, as we use a different prototype for each size.
Beeswax jewelry: Wax made from a mixture of beeswax (wax from beehives) and pine resin (natural resin from pine trees) is heated to the proper temperature, hand-textured, and then processed and cast into jewelry. The process of replacing fine, elegant lines and curved surfaces with metal and giving them luster is full of surprise and delight, and produces unique beauty.
